MERCATINO DELLE COSE DEL PASSATO

The annual antiques fair held at Piazza Matteotti in Greve in Chianti on Easter Monday is now one of the best collectors’ fairs in Italy.   Among the main categories on display are antique and reproduced rustic furniture, antique tools, farm and vineyard artifacts, ceramics, glassware and flatware, a wide range of embroidered linens, ironwork, paintings, postcards, silver coins and more. Along the road a short distance from the square, porchetta and other snacks are available, as well as lots of pecorino cheese, dried fruits and sweets.
